Apollos vibrant smile marks her silky surface,
like a thousand sparkling spears tearing her skin.
Inside her head a battle is to begin;
the last chance to take your breath away.
Hidden beneath a raging storm they lurk,
Bursting forth they capture her attention,
She sustains the plight against their tension,
Insidious, their fury only lasts a bitter second.
Shadows remain of what used to be,
the lost have gone forgotten in her mind.
Beyond her last horizon is to find
Apollo bidding her farewell.
Regret lay on the tips of fingers
and silently she knew she could never say;
the guilt would lie deep in the weathered stone.
Etchings of subtle irony and that scent,
the one she knew could haunt her dreams,
softly taking her by the hand.
She knew she wouldnt struggle
against the ever growing nauseous touch
as though the cold wall would numb her pain.
And she knew she could never go back
to the truth that lay far below the edifice
as conscious fear was worse than guilt.
It was as though the world had stopped
for all she knew were her own thoughts
but sometimes they, too, grew complicated.
The rhythm in her chest droppe
Particles of irony cloud my head,
Your love is still with me instead,
Learning to acknowledge dreams,
Because now our game is real.
Nauseous yesterday lives on, too,
Unending reels of film knew,
Never showing sadness like this,
Cant reveal our vibrant famine.
Disembodied with words unspoken,
Wind shatters, body broken,
Is this the end? Or the beginning?
Existence borne through loss.
Tears of blood roll down my face,
Confused at life's fast pace,
Don't know where I'm going,
Lost in life's great maze,
Still life keeps on flowing,
No chance to stop and gaze.
Someone's got to help me,
That's my greatest plea,
Drop by drop I bleed,
All alone out in the abyss,
Wishing time would take heed,
Make haste and I'll miss.
Just walk by and sneer,
Death to befall me quick and near,
When you're gone I'll stand alone,
Wishing you had saved me,
As drop by drop I moan,
You'll laugh until you see.
A village lies at your feet,
They worship you but never suspect,
Wonder why they never left when you began to rumble,
Wonder why they never quavered at your roar,
Why they never fled when first they seen the smoke rise.
A village lies at your feet,
Doing your will as though you cared,
Trying to impress you with daily follies,
Wonder why they didn't realise,
Why they never ran when they saw your rage.
A village lies at your feet,
Your lake of fire rushed down to take them,
Encasing them with your fury,
A village submerged in fiery contempt,
Screams flame as they realise what is happening.
A village lies at your feet,
Dangerous
Dreaming of the time i dont have to cry,
A time when i wont have to lie,
When i dont have to feel alone,
Where angels are free to roam,
I wont go there,
I fear to tread,
I know i'll go to the depths instead,
Because I just didn't care.
Wishing i never had the life I led,
The thoughts I had inside my head,
It's all too late,
I chose my own fate,
I didnt take the time to stop and stare,
No time to think,
So to hell I'll sink,
Because I just didn't care.
Cold sweat lies on my chest,
Don't want to be laid to rest,
Suddenly I wake,
Not yet did Death take,
Another chance to be aware,
To know his love,
So i c
Soft lips upon my shoulder,
As you caress my body,
Feeling numb I run from you,
Needing you yet filled with angst,
Knowing you feel it too.
Silence rapes the air,
Wishing you could only tell,
Your innocence so vivacious,
Wishing I too could be,
Unknown and impervious.
Echoes of lost whispers slowly reverberate,
As a plebeian spectre roams through the dark copse,
With mannerisms described only as sedate,
A hint of apathy lining every crevice,
Too well known it never stops,
And etched upon the silky outline - hate,
Misguided in life to be treated as a novice,
Now gliding through what seems like fate,
A knowledge too hard to break,
Understanding how much is at stake,
To find that it's far too late.
Your bitter knife through my empty soul,
Wish you could see what you're doing to me,
Cause now you're gone and you don't even know it,
To the grasp of others you flit,
With their steely grip you they stole,
Taking with them a little bit of my chi,
A second in my life with sordid impact,
Too fragile to keep intact.
Inhale your sweet happiness,
Refreshing me it runs through my veins,
But it's all gone, it's rushed away,
As Darkness descends upon my day,
Lost with utmost snappiness,
For me there will be no gains,
Inevitable to happen at least,
Just hope our amity doesn't cease.
